It is advised that you plan for a one-week visit to New York.
Typically, during this one-week trip, you can expect:
- pre-operative appointment
- laboratory and diagnostic tests
- surgery
- post-operative appointment
Note: If your situation is intricate, you may need to extend your stay in New York beyond one week.

Step 2: Complete our Health History Questionnaire
We will provide you with an online health history questionnaire form, which you can either complete prior to your visit or arrive 30 minutes early at the office to fill it out in-person.
Step 3: Forward your Medical Records to Us
- recent imaging such as MRI and ultrasound
- lab results
- surgical OR reports, including pathology and pictures from the procedure
- medication list
Note: If you do not have your records with you, you have the option to request your primary care physician to send us the relevant documents.
In compliance with government regulations, patients are required to complete a medical release form to authorize their doctor to forward their medical records to another physician. Once you have submitted a completed medical release form to your doctor, your medical records will be sent directly to us.
Step 4: Coordinating your visit to NYGE
If you’re arriving by air for your visit, the closest airport is Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP), which is approximately 11 miles or 20 to 30 minutes from our office. Another viable option is John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). To ensure a smooth trip, we recommend making hotel arrangements in advance. Please feel free to contact our office for recommendations on hotels and accommodations.
Below is a tentative surgery schedule for your reference. We recommend planning your trip accordingly to minimize the duration of your visit. Please note that exact dates may vary, but typically your schedule will be as follows:
If your surgery is on a Thursday, you should plan your trip according to the following schedule:
- Monday: arrive in New York City
- Tuesday/Wednesday: a pre-op appointment
- Thursday/Friday: surgery day
- Saturday through Monday: recovery period
- Tuesday/Wednesday: a post-op appointment
Note: If your situation is intricate, you may need to extend your stay in Bay Shore, New York beyond one week.
We Accept Most Major Insurance Plans
Convenient Billing Options for Comprehensive Coverage.
Surgeries are typically covered by health insurance. However, the extent of coverage can vary depending on the specific insurance plan and policy. Some insurance plans may cover a broad range of surgical procedures, including both elective and necessary surgeries, while others may have limitations or exclusions for certain procedures.
In some cases, certain insurance plans or programs may fully cover the cost of surgery, leaving the patient with no financial responsibility.
